Spotted Sphinx
$250.00Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya. A cheetah female searching for prey at dusk in long red oat grass. Cheetah females live a solitary life except when accompanied by cubs. The small head and supple spine, slender legs and long tail gives the cheetah an air of great beauty. The Muhgal emperors used to capture cheetahs from the wild and train them to hunt. Cheetahs were the companions of royalty in times past and the Mughal Emperor Akbar is said to have had thousands of these elegant cats roaming his palaces and courtyards.
