The photograph, "The Curious Cubs," is of the youngest generation of Marsh Lions—just a few months old—waiting patiently for the return of their mothers. The lionesses, Cloudy Eye and Kabibi, had gone off to search for food, leaving the cubs to tuck themselves away among the long grass and fallen trees. The smallest of the cubs—the little female on the left of the photograph—is Cloudy Eyes' only cub. One can only say, in human speak, that they adored one another!
