Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya. A male lion stares into the distance, listening intently for the sounds of his pride mates - and his rivals - before moving on. The silhouette of a lion is unmistakable. They are such universal symbols of power and strength, courage and determination, revered by humans and etched on our Coats of Arms, carried into battle by warriors of old. The mane of a male lion makes him look even larger and more impressive. We photographed this magnificent male one morning standing on a rise above the Talek River making the perfect silhouette as the sun began to rise. It is an image that speaks to you, an echo of our past when we shared the land with these great predators.

The paper is a beautiful Hahnemüle FineArt Pearl 285 GSM and the inks are archival grade to ensure long lasting reproduction and quality. Each Open Edition print is printed with a 1 inch white border on all sides.
