Marsh Pride Lioness
$250.00Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya. A Marsh Pride lioness surveys her kingdom. Lions are the only truly social members of the cat family. Lionesses try to remain in their natal pride as adults, often giving birth to their cubs in the same place that they were born. Lions are very territorial and will fight tooth and claw to retain the heart of their territory.
We love lions for their honesty. Lion society is ruled by the threat of violence, and there is nothing ambiguous about their behavior—you know exactly where you stand if you are a lion. This lioness is in her prime and she exudes a sense of resolve, stoicism and courage as she stares out across the savanna, looking for her pride mates and the chance to hunt.
